About the Office of People
The Office of People (OoP) is responsible for providing strategic leadership and operational implementation of people strategies relating to the attraction, retention, development, and management of academic and professional staff in the University. The Organisational Development and Employee Engagement Team provides a critical function in advancing the University’s employee development and engagement goals.

About the Role
The Office of People is seeking an experienced Manager, Organisational Development & Employee Engagement to join their team!

As the Manager OD&EE, you will be a pivotal leader within our Office of People, providing strategic guidance on learning, organisational development, and employee engagement initiatives. You will play a key role in aligning our programs with the Universitys strategic objectives and fostering a culture of continuous improvement and engagement.

This is a full time, ongoing position based at Western's Hawkesbury Campus, although travel to other campuses of the University may be required. About you
The successful candidate will:

  • Hold a relevant tertiary qualifications and extensive experience/record of achievement in leading and managing organisational and professional development programs and initiatives.
  • Demonstrate self-awareness and leadership across diverse teams, with a focus on motivation and coaching.
  • Possess deep understanding of organisational development principles, theories, and best practices, as well as current trends and technologies.
  • Exhibit strong presentation skills, tailoring content for various audiences.
  • Show exceptional interpersonal abilities, fostering cooperative relationships within an organisation.
  • Have a proven ability to use data effectively for decision-making and evaluating development initiatives.
  • Have excellent written communication skills, including ability to adapt writing styles and prepare effective communications for diverse audiences and purposes across a range of mediums.
  • Have strong project and budget management skills, ensuring timely and cost-effective program delivery.

Remuneration Package:  HEW Level 9 $151,302 to $161,579 p.a. (comprising Salary of $127,852 to $136,536 p.a., plus Superannuation and Leave Loading)
