About Infrastructure and Commercial
Infrastructure and Commercial facilitates a strategic approach to planning, development and ongoing maintenance of the University’s built infrastructure, properties and commercial activities.  Working in partnership with all areas of the University community, the directorate ensures the strategic development and maintenance of the network of campuses and property estate to support the University’s learning, teaching and research activities and preserves and enhances the unique aesthetics of the campuses. The directorate manages the sustainability agenda in line with the University’s vision and maintains a safe and healthy environment for those that use our campuses.

About the Role
Infrastructure and Commercial is seeking an experienced Project Manager to join their team!

This position is primarily responsible to ensure the timely, cost effective and quality delivery of capital project infrastructure and maintenance works are on time, within budget, fit for purpose, to a consistently high quality and in accordance with all WH&S requirements.

This involves the project management of all works including the day-to-day supervision of Project Officers, contractors and external contract project professionals.

This is a full-time, ongoing position based at Westerns Hawkesbury Campus, although travel to other campuses of the University may be required. 

About you
The successful candidate will have:

  • Tertiary qualifications in relevant fields such as engineering or project management, or extensive industry experience, especially in higher education or asset management.
  • Demonstrated project delivery management, ensuring quality results within set timeframes and budgets.
  • Strong analytical, numerical, and problem-solving abilities, with a track record of managing multiple priorities and meeting deadlines.
  • Proven experience in project performance review, monitoring, and reporting.
  • Solid grasp of project management financial aspects.
  • Excellent oral/written communication, interpersonal, consultation, and negotiation skills; ability to forge effective relationships with various stakeholders.
  • Advanced analytical and lateral thinking skills, adept at devising solutions for complex technical issues.
  • Knowledge of Quality Management practices and processes.
