Are you a proactive professional? A team player with a dynamic outlook? Western Sydney University is seeking a suitably qualified Relief Counsellor/Mental Health Advisor with extensive experience in the provision of wellbeing services.

The Relief Counsellor/Mental Health Advisor will act as a specialist consultant to Wellbeing staff and other University staff on mental health issues. This will include involvement in case management meetings/case discussions. You will work within a wider Wellbeing Team of counsellors, disability advisors and welfare officers to support students in completing their studies.

The Wellbeing Team at Western Sydney University provide a range of services to students who need assistance with personal and academic related issues so that they are able to successfully complete their studies. You will use a range of approaches in your practice including; individual and group consultations via a range of mediums including face-to-face, online and phone. You will also have experience implementing educational and preventative programs.

To be successful in this role you will have extensive experience in the provision of first responder support as well as experience providing a range of counselling services to students who need assistance with personal and academic related issues. Your ability to deliver support in an ever-changing environment will be well regarded.

The position will be based at the Penrith campus; however, this is a cross-campus role and so will require travel to other campuses to meet specific campus demands and for the purposes of facilitating training, skills and knowledge development.

This is a full-time, fixed-term position for 3 years based at the Penrith campus.

Remuneration Package: HEW Level 8 $120,879 to $134,189 p.a. (comprising Salary of $102,144 to $113,391 p.a., plus Superannuation and Leave Loading).
