About the Role
The Manager, Indigenous Employment will work proactively with senior leaders and managers to develop and implement University strategy for Indigenous staff and student employment, career development programs, Indigenous staff progression and Indigenous employment initiatives such as traineeships and cadetships. This will include supporting the development and implementation of policies, systems and initiatives that contribute to and support the work of the Office of the Pro Vice-Chancellor, Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Education, Strategy and Consultation, the Office of Equity and Diversity and Wellbeing and the Office of People.

The Manager, Indigenous Employment will actively promote the development of agreed targets for employment initiatives for Indigenous employees. In addition, the Manager, Indigenous Employment will contribute to the development of cultural awareness programs for staff across the University. The Manager of Indigenous Employment will be responsible for Indigenous Employment and the co-ordination of an Indigenous Alumni Network.

  • Up to 5 days paid leave a year to participate in cultural/ceremonial activities
  • Up to 10 days unpaid leave a year to fulfil cultural/ceremonial obligations.
  • An employee who is required to use Indigenous Australian language in the course of their work will be paid an Indigenous Australian Language allowance.

Remuneration:

HEW 9 $146,398 to $156,342 p.a. (comprising Salary of $123,708 to $132,111 p.a., plus superannuation and Leave Loading)
