  • Base Salary $91,644 + 17% superannuation

About the opportunity

The University’s Recruitment Operations team has established a dedicated Recruitment function to deliver a high-impact and integrated service offering for all Change Plans across the University. In light of this exciting development, we are seeking a Recruitment Officer (Change Programs) who possesses a distinct interest in project management, change management and project delivery. Working in a small high-functioning team of recruiters, you will have the opportunity to partner with a diverse range of professional and academic client groups. Utilising your consultative and organisational skills, you will support with end-to-end change plan recruitment activities. This opportunity is ideal for a service and delivery focused individual looking to embrace and relish the challenges of a dynamic and fast – paced working environment.

Your key responsibilities will be to:

  • provide advice relating to a full suite of recruitment activities, selection processes, labour market information and recruitment trends
  • contribute to forward planning and effectively escalate any pressing project risks or client matters to your Recruitment Consultant and/or Recruitment Partner, as required
  • coordinate frequent meetings with project managers, hiring managers and HR Partners to address change plan progress, recruitment processes and updates, ad-hoc queries and project complexities
  • liaise with other HR Centre’s of Expertise such as HR Partnering, Redeployment and Career Mobility and Transactional and Client Services
  • creatively attract top talent through innovative attraction strategies
  • support your team by tracking the delivery of project outcomes and providing timely updates.

About you

  • ability to provide proactive consultation with leaders, delivering creative and contemporary talent acquisition services within a multidisciplinary, complex organisation
  • has an agile approach and enjoys working in environments undergoing change and transformation
  • strong stakeholder management skills as you will be managing a complex client base and collaborating across the organisation
  • experience in ensuring accurate reporting, efficient actioning of administrative tasks and adherence to policy throughout end-to-end processes
  • experience with HRIS software such as Workday and a confident user of MS Office suite, in particular, Word, Excel and Powerpoint
  • considered to have excellent planning and organisation skills allowing flexibility in your approach to balance competing agendas and demands in a fast paced, time pressured environment
  • outstanding presentation, communication and influencing skills to deliver messaging to varied audiences and to drive effective project delivery  
  • capability to deliver consistently high caliber recruitment outcomes and fostering of best practice recruitment methods
  • is an agile and enthusiastic team player that thrives in a project based environment and embraces the challenges of delivering on time.

Australian Temporary Residents currently employed at the University of Sydney may be considered for a fixed term contract for the length of their visa, depending on the requirements of the hiring area and the position.
