About the Role

The Quality and Compliance Officer analyses and provides technical advice in relation to onshore international student enrolments. The position will undertake a broad range of support tasks including administration of student requests and responding to queries from agents.

Core Responsibilities

  • Analyse and interpret reports in relation to onshore international student enrolment variations and report on Confirmation of Enrolment documents to the Australian Government through the national PRISMS database
  • Provide technical advice to international students and University staff through the application of National Code and University policy, together with the preparation and issue of Confirmation of Enrolment documents
  • Timely administration of student requests for withdrawal, release, leave of absence and assessment of refunds requests against University policy and legislative requirements in preparation for authorisation by Pro Vice Chancellor: International
  • Manage the Agent Contract Management System to ensure accuracy of database by reconciling, reviewing and providing feedback to external system administrators
  • Develop and deliver training programs and information sessions for University staff to ensure knowledge and compliance requirements in regard to the ESOS Act are met

Essential Skills and Experience
  • Relevant tertiary qualification or equivalent demonstrated experience, knowledge and skills in administration, business or a related area
  • Demonstrated ability in contributing to development, implementation, and continuous improvement of policies, procedures and systems that deliver quality service in a diverse and competitive operating environment
  • Demonstrated ability to negotiate and resolve issues, problem solve and apply analytical skills to interpret reports, policies, procedures, legislation and external advice
  • Highly developed verbal communication, high quality customer service and interpersonal skills, including the ability to liaise and build constructive relationships with a diverse range of people and cultures both internal and external to the University
  • Highly developed written communication skills, and the ability to provide clear and concise correspondence, reports and other documentation, together with high level of computing skills with various Microsoft office applications and sound experience in maintaining databases
