  • Campus Independent – Based at La Trobe University’s Bendigo or Albury-Wodonga campus or any Victorian campus.
  • Hybrid & Flexible working arrangements offered
  • Level B - TRP $117,562 - $138,831 per annum inclusive of 17% superannuation

About the position

A Level B academic with a teaching focussed appointment is expected to develop curriculum, coordinate subjects, teach, and support students as they learn, supporting the administrative functions of the discipline as well as undertaking scholarly work relevant to the development of learning and teaching in their discipline or professional field.

This position will include opportunities for subject coordination, teaching and clinical supervision in the discipline cluster of Advanced Practice. The successful applicant will also be responsible for working closely with our Director of Clinical Training to source and support opportunities for students undertaking placements within our postgraduate Professional Psychology programs, which are based at our Bendigo campus.

Skills and Experience

To be considered for this position, you will have;

  • PhD or Masters degree or equivalent accreditation and standing recognised by the University/profession as appropriate for the relevant discipline area.
  • Full registration as a Psychologist with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).
  • Extensive knowledge of the registration requirements for students undertaking professional psychology placements and internships, including familiarity with a range of existing and new placement providers and with software systems which underpin effective management of placements.
  • Ability to engage effectively with external partners so as to increase student access to rich placement opportunities.
  • Demonstrated ability to be effective in teaching and curriculum development in face-to-face, blended and/or online modes, as evidenced by, for example, high results on student feedback on teaching surveys relative to their peers,  or through other forms of evidence.
  • Demonstrated high level oral and written communication skills, including the ability to interact effectively, collaboratively and productively with staff and students from a diverse range of backgrounds.
  • Demonstrated ability to engage with and produce outputs related to the Scholarship of Teaching and Learning or program improvement more generally.
