Why Your Role Matters:

The Project Officer and Short Courses Coordinator plays a key role at within Australian Graduate School of Management (AGSM) Short Courses portfolio, providing practical and efficient support to deliver the assigned Open and Custom Programs. The role entails providing project coordination and support, developing communications, building key internal and external relationships, and providing administrative support for all assigned courses. The Project Officer and Short Courses Coordinator has a crucial role to play in ensuring that learners and participants receive a highly personalised, well-supported, seamless, and impactful experience, from onboarding to successful completion of a course.


Responsibilities:

Specific responsibilities for this role include (but are not limited to):

  • Support the delivery of all AGSM Short Courses Open programs and initiatives to achieve operational and strategic goals.
  • Support the development of project plans and schedules and participate in planning processes as required.
  • Monitor, track and report on the status of course deliverables to ensure time, cost and quality metrics are in line with approved project plans for assigned projects and courses.
  • Provide practical and proactive project support and administrative services to project team and stakeholders.
  • Coordinate all operational logistics of courses including, booking venues and catering, managing platforms and technology, monitoring course attendance via the Navigator platform, and assisting with all in progress course participant enquiries.
  • Attend and work from UNSW CBD and Kensington campuses as and when required.
  • Attend meetings, manage assigned actions and follow-ups, and provide project status reports.
  • Develop and manage effective communications with key stakeholders, both internal and external to the project.

Skills and experience required (but not limited to):

  • Relevant tertiary qualification with subsequent relevant experience or equivalent competence gained through any combination of education, training and experience.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a high level of attention to detail for deliverables produced.
  • Sound stakeholder management skills, with the ability to liaise effectively with a range of stakeholders.
  • Experience working with a range of computer systems and applications.
  • Excellent time management skills, with a demonstrated ability to respond to changing priorities, manage multiple tasks and meet competing deadlines by using judgement and initiative.
  • Project experience, with an understanding of the project life cycle and development of project plans, objectives and documentation.
  • Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively and productively within a team, but also to take initiative and work independently while managing competing demands.
  • An understanding of and commitment to UNSW’s aims, objectives and values in action, together with relevant policies and guidelines.
