Properties, Facilities and Development (PF&D)
Properties, Facilities & Development (PF&D) plays an important role in ensuring Curtin University’s physical presence enables ongoing transformation and supports the University’s vision to be a recognised global leader in research, education, and engagement. The PF&D team is responsible for delivering great places where people come first, and this position makes an important contribution to that achievement.
Your new role
This role manages a portfolio of a multitude of works and small projects, each with their own stakeholders. Projects may include a mix of small infrastructure and refurbishment works generally less than $250k. This busy role manages several work requests and projects at any one time and ensures that project planning and contract management outcomes meet project milestones and expectations.
Specific responsibilities include:
- Reviewing project deliverables and building effective relationships with stakeholders.
- Sourcing quotes from panel contractors and managing the procurement process.
- Managing project work plans and resources.
- Management of high risk work permits and isolation permits.
- Reporting on performance against project schedules, performance indicators and milestones.
- Managing expenditure against budgets.
- You will ideally have a relevant tertiary qualification with substantial experience in the management of minor works contracts.
- Well developed communication and negotiation skills and the ability to develop sound working relationships with a range of stakeholders are required.
