  • Part-time (0.8FTE) fixed term contract until 30 April 2022 based in UniSA STEM at the Mawson Lakes Campus
  • Commencement Salary: $71,205 pro rata per annum (plus superannuation)


About the Role

The Project Officer: IMCRC is responsible for the project coordination for the research project between UniSA, BAE Systems Australia and the Innovative Manufacturing Cooperative Research Centre (IMCRC).

Core Responsibilities

  • Utilise project management principles to ensure the ongoing delivery of the project, establishing and maintaining systems and processes, monitoring milestones, financial positioning and advising on factors including variations and ethics approval
  • Act as key contact between UniSA and key stakeholders, providing advice and recommendations when required and developing and promoting effective communication with internal and external stakeholders
  • Monitor, evaluate and report on the performance of the project against pre-determined targets
  • Proactively track the expenditure of the project by monitoring budgets and performing financial analysis to inform decision making
  • Provide advice on behalf of the project in committee and project meetings

Essential Skills and Experience

  • Tertiary qualifications in a relevant field with experience, or demonstrated equivalent experience, knowledge and skills
  • High level project coordination experience including a demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects autonomously using resourcefulness and initiative
  • Strong problem-solving skills relevant to project management
  • Excellent communication skills with demonstrated experience working with a range of people at all levels in a research environment
  • Experience in the interpretation and application of policies and procedures
