  • Full-time and Part-time (0.5 FTE) fixed term contracts available until December 2024
  • Commencement Salary: $82,077 (pro rata) per annum (plus 17% superannuation)

About the Role

We are seeking multiple Project Officers to contribute to the growth and optimisation of the Research Centres across the University, through the provision of high-level project, committee and event management support. This includes undertaking research; information and data gathering; data analysis; preparing advice and recommendations; editing and finalising documents and reports. You will also be responsible for key performance monitoring of a portfolio of research projects, as well as acting as a key point of reference for external and internal partners and stakeholders.

The following opportunities are available to support the various Research Centres:

  • 1 Full-time position within UniSA Education Futures (Magill Campus)
  • 1 Full-time position within UniSA Clinical and Health Sciences (City East Campus)
  • 1 Part-time (0.5 FTE) position within UniSA Allied Health and Human Performance (City East Campus)
  • 1 Part-time (0.5 FTE) position within UniSA Creative (Magill Campus)
  • 3 Part-time (0.5 FTE*) positions within UniSA Business (City West Campus)


*Subject to the skills and experience of the successful candidate, there may be the opportunity for one (1) full-time position within UniSA Business to support two (2) Research Centres.

Core Responsibilities

  • Optimise the performance of the Research Centre(s)
  • Act as the key contact between UniSA and key stakeholders for the Centre(s)
  • Develop, maintain and promote the Centre’s website as the main source for all information related to the research, engagement and leadership of the Centre(s)
  • Liaise with key stakeholders and the Centre Director(s) to contribute to the development and implementation of strategic plans
  • Coordinate events (e.g., public lectures, industry forums, seminars, workshops etc) organised by the Centre(s), which may include room bookings, catering and travel arrangements, as required


Essential Skills and Experience

  • High-level project coordination skills, including demonstrated ability to monitor multiple projects with a high degree of autonomy
  • Demonstrated research, analytical and writing skills for the gathering and synthesis of data from multiple sources for the provision of high-quality evidence based reports and recommendations to internal and external stakeholders
  • Tertiary qualification and subsequent relevant experience and/or extensive relevant experience in project administration
  • Highly developed interpersonal skills, including experience in working effectively as a team in a research environment
