About the End-of-Life Essentials Project

The End-of-Life Essentials Project (EOLE) operates from Flinders University and is funded by the Australian Government, Department of Health and Aged Care until June 2026. The EOLE project provides clinically relevant and evidence-based end-of-life care education, training and accreditation resources, implementation tool kits and other web-based resources for health professionals working in hospitals across Australia.

About the Role

Flinders University is seeking an experienced Project Officer to support the development and implementation of the deliverables for the End-of-Life Essentials (EOLE) project.

As the Project Officer, you will be responsible for:

  • Supporting the implementation of the EOLE stakeholder engagement plan.

  • Providing administrative support services such as, preparing reports, developing process and policy documentation, coordinating resources, maintaining project documentation, and implementing project plans to ensure project deliverables are met.

  • Communicating with key stakeholders through a variety of channels (face to face meetings, virtual meetings, email) and coordinating information sessions and meetings. 

  • Supporting the development and implementation processes and protocols in collaboration with the EOLE Project Team and IT partners.

  • Provide project team support, including team communication support and meeting coordination.

Please note, we are advertising this role in anticipation of grant funding to the University being confirmed. Appointment to this role is contingent on execution of a grant agreement by the funding body.

About You

A highly organised individual, you will ensure competing demands are prioritised and project deadlines are adhered to all whilst maintaining a high standard. The key to your success will be in your ability to work collaboratively and liaise, engage, and develop strong working relationships. As the successful candidate, you will also demonstrate:

  • An equivalent combination of relevant experience and tertiary education and/or training in national project delivery and management and learning management systems.

  • Excellent reporting and records management skills using Microsoft Word and Excel.

  • Well-developed data analysis skills. You will be able to identify project trends, undertake qualitative and quantitative analysis, prepare reports, compile information and track tasks.

  • Proficiency in Excel and SPSS software (desirable).

  • Knowledge and experience in the project field of end-of-life care in acute hospitals will be highly regarded.
