  • Total Remuneration $103,193 to $111,140 pa (including salary of $87,200 to $93,915 plus 17% superannuation and 12.96% leave loading)

An exciting opportunity has become available for a Project Officer to join the Office of Indigenous Engagement assisting with the investigation and implementation of CQUniversity’s Indigenous Education and Social Enterprise Hubs in Woorabinda and Yarrabah communities.

 

In this position you will undertake a range of research support and administrative responsibilities to contribute to the success of the University’s Indigenous Education and Social Enterprise Hubs and BHP/BMA research funded projects.

 

You will bring to the position your knowledge and understanding of the needs of Indigenous people, their families, community and a commitment to addressing those needs, together with your excellent written communication skills, interpersonal and presentation skills and experience working with a broad range of stakeholders.

Position Requirements

 

  • Knowledge and understanding of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander cultures and societies, and the ability to communicate sensitively and effectively with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people and communities.
  • Demonstrated capacity to engage and network effectively with industry and community partners and stakeholders, especially within Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander communities.
  • Ability to contribute to projects including researching, analysing and interpreting information in relation to the establishment of education, business and/or enterprise Hub in Indigenous communities.
  • Excellent time management and problem-solving abilities.
  • Excellent interpersonal and presentation skills and experience in dealing with a broad range of stakeholders.
