The Project Manager role within the Facilities Assets and Campus Services team involves supporting the Associate Director Project Delivery in executing building renewal and related projects. 

Your responsibilities will include overseeing project budgets, preparing progress reports, managing project planning and design, coordinating project teams, ensuring project benefits align with business cases, procuring building services, and maintaining a high level of integrity and commitment throughout the project delivery.

About You  
To be successful in this role, you will require the ability to:

•    Project manage major and minor projects on all campuses, including asset renewal and building refurbishment construction projects.
•    Coordinate project teams working in a matrix environment to draw on the skills, knowledge and expertise necessary to successfully deliver their role.
•    Ensure project and/or program compliance and support best-practice project management approaches, encouraging the broader team to deliver to a high standard.
•    Liaise with builder on construction times, costs & quality, ensuring these are in line with project plan and Swinburne’s project management frameworks.
•    Build and maintain positive on-going relationships with internal and external stakeholders that will support FACS’s ability to deliver in areas relevant to its portfolio.
•    Effectively communicate with university stakeholders; consultants; engineers; trade people; & suppliers.
•    Ensure statutory regulations and legislative requirements are adhered to and compliance with Swinburne University OH&S policies and procedures.

Qualifications
•    Postgraduate qualifications in a relevant discipline or progress towards Postgraduate qualification and extensive relevant experience
•    Tertiary qualification ideally within engineering qualification and/or project management
