Project Manager, IT systems

  • Employment Type: Full - time (35 hours a week)
  • Duration: 1-year Fixed Term contract until 30th June 2025
  • Remuneration: $146,613 base (+ 17% Super, leave loading)
  • Location: Kensington, Sydney

Why this role matters  

The Project Manager will be responsible for IT systems and business management of several digital and operational solutions managed by the National Perinatal Epidemiology and Statistics Unit (NPESU), including clinical quality registries, YourIVFSuccess website and linked data resources. The position will work with internal and external stakeholders, including NPESU registry staff, UNSW IT and Cyber teams and software and website developers, and be involved in several research and service delivery projects within the NPESU and CBDRH.

Some skills required:

  • Graduate or Postgraduate qualifications in health information management or digital health solutions and/or equivalent experience in a relevant discipline.
  • High-level skills and experience in managing and delivering complex health data solutions from end-to-end, particularly associated with clinical quality registry operations (data submission, security, reporting).
  • High-level skills and knowledge of cyber security and data privacy legislation associated with sensitive health data.
  • High-level skills and knowledge of digital strategy, design, and technology, and health data privacy legislation.
  • Experience working with end users (e.g. consumers, clinicians, researchers), software developers, cyber security experts, HRECs, and regulators to develop and maintain digital health solutions.
  • Experience managing IT infrastructure, data submission and reporting requirement for clinical quality registries.
  • Demonstrated strong capacity for problem solving and developing solutions with tight deadlines.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, communication skills, and proven ability to work effectively with a diverse range of people including researchers, data managers, clinicians, and IT professionals.
