Digital Campus Services

Digital and Campus Services provides a responsive, integrated and customer-orientated service that brings together the digital and physical environments for students and staff, supporting their teaching, learning, research, and administrative needs. Our purpose is to provide fit-for-purpose and innovative planning and delivery services that contribute to the success of ECU as a vibrant and progressive University.

The Buildings and Services team, within Digital Campus Services, are responsible for planning, developing, managing, and maintaining all University assets.

The Opportunity

This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated and suitably experienced individual to drive the planning and successful delivery of a range of strategic projects.

Key responsibilities of the role include:

  • Management of projects from inception to completion, including all aspects of the project management lifecycle. 
  • Building and maintaining strong relationships and strategic partnerships across teams, directorates, and schools, including effective communication, negotiation, and issues management to ensure project deliverables are met.
  • Establishing and monitoring key performance indicators to track program progress and success, and implementing corrective actions as needed.
  • Driving continuous improvement initiatives to enhance program delivery and outcomes, leveraging best practices and lessons learned.
  • Proactively identifying, assessing, and mitigating risks across the program portfolio to minimise impact on project deliverables and timelines.

About You

To be successful in this role, you will have experience in project management across the full life cycle from identification to completion, including experience managing and leading a team. You will be passionate about planning and day to day management of projects in a higher education environment and have highly developed relationship building and negotiation skills.

You will be thoroughly familiar with one or more project or program management methodologies, such as PMI, PMBOK, PRINCE2, or Agile. Postgraduate qualifications in program or project management and extensive relevant experience, or an equivalent level of expertise gained from a combination of experience, training, or professional accreditation, will see you well equipped to confidently plan, coordinate, and deliver projects and programs.

You will also demonstrate personal attributes that are congruent with the University’s values of Integrity, Respect, Rational Inquiry, Personal Excellence, and Courage.

Benefits & Remuneration

This full-time, 1 year fixed term position attracts remuneration of $134,599 to $151,600 p.a inclusive of 17% University Superannuation Contribution.
