  • Base Salary HEO 8 $117,116 - $132,079 + 17% superannuation 

About the opportunity

The Project Manager, Faculty Projects is responsible for project organisation, including the delivery of project plans and effectively manage project activities.

Your key responsibilities will be to:

  • manage project activities and deliverables within budget and agreed time frames
  • manage project governance and reporting to ensure progress is monitored and risks mitigated
  • communicate project management methodology, processes, and templates to the project team
  • ensure effective collaboration and teamwork with other project teams and stakeholders across the University.

About you

  • extensive experience managing multiple work streams, or leading large complex projects and ability to work according to strict deadlines and manage various demands
  • experience managing a diverse group of key internal/external stakeholders on large or complex projects
  • excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills with sound negotiating and conflict resolution skills and a demonstrated level of tact and discretion in dealing with a variety of matters
  • financial management experience and literacy, experience managing budgets and controlling income and expenditure for a project
  • sound understanding and consistent application of project management competencies including scope, time, cost, quality, HR, communications, cost, risk, procurement and integration
  • working experience in the higher education/tertiary sector or at a complex, multi-faceted organisation.

Australian Temporary Residents currently employed at the University of Sydney may be considered for a fixed term contract for the length of their visa, depending on the requirements of the hiring area and the position.
