About the team
Campus Management is responsible for planning, developing and managing the University’s campus and property portfolio to support teaching, research and campus life. Campus Management delivers a comprehensive range of University-wide services.
About the opportunity
As the appointee you will, under broad direction, provide for the effective delivery of the University's capital projects/programs and ensure that the University’s requirements are provided for in the planning, design, procurement, construction and close-out of capital works projects/programs. This will involve procuring and managing external project management, design consultancy and constructor resources to produce all project deliverables, as well as monitoring and controlling the project through project governance processes.
You will also provide input into the development of the University's strategic asset management and capital works project delivery frameworks.
You will focus on the delivery of multiple minor and lifecycle renewal physical asset projects and programs to address operational and maintenance strategic asset management requirements.
To be considered for this role, you will demonstrate:
- Relevant postgraduate qualification or demonstrated equivalent competency
- Substantial relevant experience at an appropriate level including demonstrated experience having led full lifecycle delivery of minor capital works projects
- Demonstrated knowledge and application of relevant legislative and regulatory requirements in the areas of Australian Building Codes and Standards, Occupational Safety & Health, Equal Opportunity, and principles of universal access and how these impact on sustainability, service delivery, employment and people management
- Demonstrated ability to lead and manage clients, consultants and project teams in the delivery of minor capital projects
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills including the ability to prepare written reports and make verbal presentations
- Proven ability to consult and negotiate with multiple and diverse stakeholders
