About the Role:

In this role you will provide high level administrative and project support to the operations of the University’s TNE Partnerships team.  You will manage and coordinate the hiring of academic sessional staff for TNE programs.  You will manage the travel arrangements for both academic staff teaching offshore as well as for the TNE Partnerships team and you will be responsible for ensuring that internal and external stakeholders are provided with consistent information and advice around processes and operations in relation to workload allocation for teaching delivery and travel for TNE operations. The role reports the Director, TNE Partnerships.

This is a full-time position at a HEP6, $85,667 - $92,728 plus 17% superannuation, classification working 36.75 hours per week over a continuing contract period.

An example of your responsibilities or duties you may perform will include:

  • Provide high level administrative and project support to ensure efficient operations and a high level of service to the TNE Partnerships Group.
  • Manage the administration processes for hiring of academic staff, including sessional recruitment, workload reconciliations and processing payment claims utilizing the team SharePoint site, VU People First and the VU Sessional Allocator systems. 
  • Work closely with P&C to maintain knowledge with regards to employment and onboarding legislative requirements.
  • Work with the Director, Teaching & Learning, and other internal and external stakeholders to organise and coordinate logistics and schedule travel arrangements for offshore teaching visits.
  • Responsible for coordinating the booking of travel arrangements for the TNE Partnerships team and ensure compliance with relevant University policies and procedures. Liaise with Finance on processing any related travel costs.
  • Responsible for providing quality and consistent advice and information to internal and external stakeholders around processes and operations in relation to workload allocation for teaching delivery and travel for TNE programs.  

About You:

This role would suit a motivated and highly organised professional with experience in administration and transnational education (TNE).

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills
  • Experience in supporting projects, prioritising tasks and meeting deadlines
  • Excellent time management, administrative and organisational skills
  • Demonstrated experience in working independently
  • Proficiency in the use of Microsoft programs and other digital tools
  • Experience working with a diverse range of staff in cross-cultural settings
  • Knowledge of the higher education sector and TNE
