About the role
Federation TAFE is home to vocational education and training delivered by Federation University Australia and offers a broad range of quality education and training programs, reflecting state and national priorities that address the training needs of individuals and industry.
You will provide a range of end-to-end administrative support to Federation TAFE programs that support the student lifecycle, including providing information to Federation University staff, internal/external stakeholders and both current and prospective students.
You will:
- perform a range of administrative tasks to support the functions of the Program Managers and Heads of Centre;
- maintain student data and ensure records are collected and maintained in accordance with Policies, Procedures and guidelines; and
- actively contribute to the student experience and operation of Federation TAFE.

About you
Reporting to the Manager, Program Support and Projects you will work collaboratively with Heads of Centre, Program Managers, teaching and support staff across the University. You will have experience in providing effective and efficient end-to-end administrative support, including but not limited to communications (mail, email, phone, face to face, CRM system), data entry, maintenance requests, room/vehicle bookings, stationery and materials/equipment ordering, agenda/minute taking, webpage updates.
You will possess:
- demonstrated ability to provide end-to-end administrative services and customer support;
- demonstrated problem solving, organisational and time management skills;
- demonstrated Microsoft Office software skills, in particular Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams and email, as well as the demonstrated ability to use other relevant applications; and
- a current Working with Children’s Check.

Directions from Victoria’s Chief Health Officer require all Victorian-based Federation University workers to be fully vaccinated against COVID-19, unless they are an Excepted Person as defined by the COVID-19 Mandatory Vaccination (Workers) Directions.
