The Opportunity
Led by Monash University, The mitoHOPE (Healthy Outcomes Pilot and Evaluation) Program has formed an Australian-wide consortium to conduct a mitochondrial donation and reproductive options pilot program. This includes a clinical trial to build the evidence base to determine the safety, efficacy and feasibility of implementing mitochondrial donation reproductive technology in clinical practice settings. The Medical Research Future Fund (MRFF) has funded $15 million into The mitoHOPE (Healthy Outcomes Pilot and Evaluation) Program.
The mitoHOPE Program Manager position is an exciting and dynamic role offered at one of the most highly renowned institutions at Monash University. Reporting to The mitoHOPE Program Director, this role will act as a key member of The mitoHOPE Program leadership team and manage all operational aspects of the program, ensuring successful achievement of objectives and milestones.
The position will manage a large and diverse external partner network including academic and clinical partners, government agencies and community organisations across Australia, and internationally.

As the successful candidate you will be responsible for:
- Providing operational leadership, senior program and project management expertise to ensure the successful delivery of The mitoHOPE Program
- Working with The mitoHOPE Program Director and leadership team to drive strategic and operational planning and implementation
- Demonstrating excellent leadership and providing high-level direction and guidance to The mitoHOPE Program administrative team
- Leading, managing and being accountable for risk and compliance for The mitoHOPE Program
The successful appointee will have a relevant postgraduate qualification and extensive experience at senior management level within a complex management environment, or an equivalent combination of relevant experience and education/training.
