About the position

Reporting to the Senior Manager, you will work closely with the PVC (Graduate and Global Research) and other key stakeholders in providing high-level advice and support to ensure that the University offers an effective contemporary graduate research program which is aligned to the University's research strategy and engaged with industry and global research partners.

Skills and Experience

To be successful in this position you will have:

  • A degree with substantial extension of the theories and principles, learned through experience, or a range of management experience, or postgraduate qualifications.
  • Extensive experience in policy, governance, or management role, providing project, administrative and high-level executive support to senior management including contributing to strategic planning.
  • Strong project or program management skills, including the ability to manage multiple projects concurrently.
  • Ability to bring together diverse and sometimes conflicting information to solve new or one-off problems
  • Strong interpersonal skills including ability to negotiate, motivate, influence, and build relationships.
  • High level written communication skills, with an emphasis on the ability to write background papers, reports, policy, presentations, and correspondence.
