  • $109,663 - $123,674 + 17% super

About the opportunity

As the Program Manager Education, you will lead the delivery of Sydney Quantum Academy’s (SQA) scholarship program and establish and deliver programs to build the quantum talent pipeline.

Under the direction of the Chief Operating Officer, you'll play a key role in achieving the SQA’s education and training objectives and goals.

Your key responsibilities will be to:

  • deliver the SQA PhD Scholarships program and Undergraduate Research Scholarships program, including managing the application and selection processes, forecasting and post-award.

  • develop and refine other talent development programs and initiatives, including for undergraduate students

  • collect, analyse and report on data for the talent pipeline

  • provide strategic advice on education programs, including input for marketing and website content.

  • prepare and deliver the annual business plan for education programs

  • build relationships with partner university stakeholders; both academic and professional staff

  • provide leadership, support, and coordination

  • maintain the SQA fellowships program, and project manage any future rounds should funding allow

  • manage ad hoc projects, such as funding applications or new education programs

About you

  • experience working in the higher education sector, preferably in education programs, scholarships, or project management

  • experience project managing large complex projects

  • able to work autonomously and to solve problems

  • proven abilities in working to tight deadlines and managing various demands

  • experience in controlling expenditure for budget tracking, and managing invoice payments

  • well-developed negotiation, conflict resolution, relationship building and influencing skills

  • strong numeracy skills and communication skills
