Digital Campus Services

Digital and Campus Services provides a responsive, integrated and customer-orientated service that brings together the digital and physical environments for students and staff, supporting their teaching, learning, research and administrative needs. Our purpose is to provide fit-for-purpose and innovative planning and delivery services that contribute to the success of ECU as a vibrant and progressive University.

The Buildings and Services team, within Digital Campus Services, are responsible for planning, developing, managing and maintaining all University assets.

The Opportunity

This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated and suitably experienced individual to drive the planning and successful delivery of a range of strategic projects and programs, including ECU City Campus initiatives.  

Key Responsibilities: 

  • Managing programs and projects from inception to completion, encompassing all phases of the program and project management lifecycle, including developing, leading, and delivering all aspects of program and project management, ensuring alignment with strategic goals and objectives.
  • Building and maintaining strong relationships and strategic partnerships across teams, directorates, and schools, ensuring effective communication, negotiation, and issues management.
  • Engaging with senior executives and key stakeholders to align program objectives with the strategic objectives of the university.
  • Proactively identifying, assessing, and mitigating risks across the program portfolio to minimise impact on project deliverables and timelines.
  • Strategically allocating, scaling, and managing resources, to ensure optimal program performance and value delivery.
  • Establishing and monitoring key performance indicators to track program progress and success, and implementing corrective actions as needed.
  • Driving continuous improvement initiatives to enhance program delivery and outcomes, leveraging best practices and lessons learned.

About You

To excel in this role, you will have substantial experience in program and project management across the entire lifecycle, from identification to completion, with proven success in managing and leading high-performing teams.

You will have significant experience and a demonstrated background in successfully delivering transformation and strategic programs, encompassing the key pillars of transformation: people, processes, and systems.

Your expertise in managing highly complex transformation projects is complemented by exceptional relationship-building and negotiation skills. You are well-versed in multiple best-practice project and program management methodologies, such as MSP, PMI, PMBOK, PRINCE2, or Scrum, and can adapt these approaches to suit the specific needs of each program.

Your qualifications will include postgraduate degrees in program or project management and extensive, relevant experience, or an equivalent level of expertise obtained through a combination of practical experience, specialized training, or professional accreditation.

Your extensive background empowers you to confidently plan, coordinate, and deliver intricate projects and programs. Additionally, you demonstrate strong leadership abilities and can effectively engage with senior stakeholders to drive strategic and organisational change.

Benefits and Remuneration

This full-time, fixed term position attracts remuneration of $154,821 to $161,909 p.a. inclusive of 17% University superannuation contribution.

You will be based in Joondalup and may be required to travel to ECU Wellington St or Mount Lawley on occasion.
