Many of CSIRO's innovations were once considered impossible. Fast WiFi, Aerogard insect repellent and the plastic Australian banknote, to name a few. Until someone, just like you, joined us and took on the challenge. We’re recruiting inventors, innovators and change makers. Join Team CSIRO and help make the impossible possible.

The Australian Centre for Disease Preparedness (ACDP) is one of the world’s largest microbiologically secure facilities. Owned and operated by CSIRO on behalf of the nation, ACDP helps to protect Australia’s livestock and aquatic industries, as well as its people. Providing access to ACDP’s world-class research infrastructure and high-quality capability contributes to solutions that address many national and global challenges.

The Australian Animal Health Laboratory Business Unit (AAHL) operating from ACDP is seeking to appoint a Program Advisor within the International Program, which is a part of the Diagnosis Surveillance and Response (DSR) Program. As a Program Advisor, you will provide oversight and guidance on the implementation of the ACDP-IP’s portfolio of projects across the Asia-Pacific and provide technical guidance and strategic oversight to Project Managers on project implementation and also support and advice on project management, e.g. financial management, monitoring, evaluation and learning, project reporting and contract management. You will also contribute to the delivery of strategic objectives for the ACDP-IP, including representing the Group Leader when required and identifying collaborative research or capacity development projects across CSIRO and with external collaborators.

This role will involve overseas travel to countries primarily in the Asia-Pacific region on a regular basis, up to 8-10 times per year.
