The Role

  • Continuing, Full Time
  • Level E - $202,477 pa (plus 17% superannuation)
  • Albury-Wodonga, Bathurst, Dubbo, Orange, Port Macquarie, Wagga Wagga or by negotiation (relocation allowance offered)

As Professor in Education, you will provide significant leadership through education research and contribute to the administration and strategic planning of the School, Faculty and University. This position will play a pivotal role in the further development of rural and regional education and research at Charles Sturt University.

The successful applicant will be expected to drive the further development and enhancement of the University’s research profile in the School and beyond. Duties in this area will include: supervising doctoral students, mentoring early career staff, attracting research grants and contributing high quality research outputs of both national and international standing.

To be successful you will have:

  • A doctoral qualification in a relevant field
  • A record of significant research achievement
  • Significant knowledge and understanding with the education discipline gained through industry and / or scholarly activities
  • Capacity to utilise and embrace current and emerging technologies to achieve work objectives
  • Demonstrated ability to provide effective leadership and building people capability in major academic units and/or activities.
