About the opportunity

The Professional Experience Officer in the Faculty of Education is primarily responsible for assisting students with the organisation of undergraduate professional experience opportunities. In this role, you will regularly engage with students, staff, placement providers and external organisations to support the effective delivery of the professional experience programs within the Faculty. Your core responsibilities will include:

  • Manage inquiries and communications from various stakeholders effectively.
  • Maintain and update information systems and databases crucial for program operations.
  • Support data collection, collation and reporting requirements as directed. Prepare routine reports and distributing documentation to appropriate parties, both internal and external.
  • Coordinate placement administration tasks and correspondence efficiently.
  • Provide support and advice to staff, students and placement providers in respect to placement documentation and issue resolution. Liaise with schools and early childhood centres in regard to documentation, allocation and placement processes.

About you

You will possess excellent communication skills, coupled with a knack for providing clear and helpful guidance in your previous experience. You thrive in dynamic team environments, and are adept at managing multiple tasks with precision and attention to detail. Additionally, you will have:

  • Relevant qualification or experience supporting similar administrative processes within a sizable organisation.
  • Exceptional organisational skills, capable of prioritising effectively while ensuring top-tier service delivery and attention to detail.
  • Proven ability to communicate and engage with stakeholders, both individually and in group settings.
  • Strong computing skills, including data entry experience. Experience in maintaining spreadsheets and electronic databases such as SONIA and CRM are desirable, but not essential.

Salary and benefits

We have four (4) full-time, fixed-term (2 years) positions available at either our Coffs Harbour, Gold Coast or Lismore campuses.

Based on a HEW 4 salary rate, the base salary ranges from $69,473- $74,607 per annum, plus 17% employer’s contribution to superannuation. The total remuneration package is up to $87,290 per annum.
