About the role

Reporting to the General Manager: UniSA Education Futures, you will be responsible for the development and management of the domestic and international professional experience programs and work integrated learning activities of the unit. You will strengthen the strategic management of professional experience stakeholders and grow and deepen the units relationships with key sites and representative bodies to ensure growth of high quality placement opportunities for students, and quality support for all professional/work integrated learning opportunities, including international placements, and internships. You will maintain expert knowledge of the internal and external accreditation, regulatory and legislative frameworks, support the negotiation of placement agreements with Department for Education, Catholic Education and Independent Schools and manage internal risk management practices.

To be successful you will have

  • Demonstrable knowledge and skills in a related professional discipline 
  • Bachelor or equivalent degree combined with experience working in an academic environment, or a combination of extensive experience in a management/ leadership role in an academic environment with complex external partnerships
  • Demonstrated experience in generating new opportunities and managing strategic relationships and partnerships with external stakeholders to deliver measurable outcomes
  • Demonstrated strategic thinking skills, with the ability to analyse qualitative and quantitative data and identify creative solutions to complex problems
  • A successful track record of managing teams and resources in a multi-disciplinary environment to deliver quality customer orientated services and continuous improvement against strategic objectives
  • Experience in the interpretation and application of legislation, accreditation requirements, policies in order to provide expert advice
  • Knowledge of the South Australian education and early childhood sector
