Your new role 

Reporting to the Deputy Director, Platforms, you will lead, champion, and provide strategic guidance on the ServiceNow platform, products and business services. You will align the platform team with the university strategy, digital roadmap, and governance policies. You will have ownership and oversight of the ServiceNow instances and modules used across Curtin. Supported by ServiceNow Impact Guided, you will spearhead maturity of the platform and services to the university. 

As the Product Owner for ServiceNow, you will be responsible for the: 

  • Leading the creation and execution of the ServiceNow platform strategy and roadmap. 
  • Overseeing the ServiceNow platform development team and making sure that the platform aligns with business requirements. 
  • Collaborating with partners and stakeholders across the university to guarantee that the platform is well-integrated with other systems and processes. 
  • Promoting platform enhancements across our ServiceNow Creator, Customer, Employee and Technology workflows. 
  • Ensuring that the platform is scalable, dependable, and secure. 

We are looking for someone with:  


  • An IT or business management related degree with extensive product ownership experience in the ICT field, or an equivalent combination of relevant experience and/or education/training. 
  • ServiceNow certification in one or more of these mainline certification paths: IT, Security, Customer Service, HR, Application Development, and Customer service management. 
  • ITIL 4 Practice Manager certification or higher. 
  • Demonstrated experience in effectively delivering and managing changes to a digital product across an organisation.  
  • Experience with leading the implementation and integration of ServiceNow to one or more enterprise applications or cloud services. 
  • Extensive experience in overseeing the execution of product strategies and roadmaps and the ability to implement the strategic vision for cross-functional product teams. 
  • Experience with ServiceNow Customer Service Management, IT Operations Management, Security Operations, Application Portfolio Management, and Risk Management. 
  • Highly effective stakeholder engagement ability with experience as a trusted advisor to stakeholders. 
  • Demonstrated ability to successfully lead and manage a team of highly specialised technical staff, including ServiceNow Developers, Administrators and Analysts.
