About This Opportunity 

Under broad direction of the Senior Learning Designer, DLU, the role involves designing curriculum, assessment, and dynamic pedagogies to improve teaching quality in courses and programs. Additionally, it supports academic staff university-wide in adopting similar practices.

Key responsibilities will include: 

  • Provide leadership in pedagogical and curriculum design to enhance student learning experiences.

  • Design, implement, and evaluate pedagogical approaches for both online and face-to-face learning, supporting academic staff in doing the same.

  • Develop learning resources and assist academic staff in resource preparation.

  • Collaborate with various university stakeholders to improve institutional approaches for enhancing student learning and experience.

  • Promote innovative teaching and learning methods and contribute to the development of tools and processes for efficient teaching services.

  • Stay updated on teaching and learning practices in higher education and communicate relevant knowledge to the university community.


About You  

  • Degree with 4+ years' experience in education/learning design or relevant field, or extensive management expertise, or equivalent combination.

  • Proficiency in developing online and on-campus resources with a scholarly approach and commitment to professional development.

  • Ability to lead and support stakeholders in both traditional and technology-enabled curriculum, pedagogy, and assessment.

  • Strong teamwork, communication, time, and project management skills, also capable of working independently with excellent attention to detail.

  • Experience in designing and delivering professional learning using appropriate technologies.

You must have unrestricted work rights in Australia for the duration of this appointment and may be required to complete background checks including, criminal history and education checks.
