About the Role
This position available is part of an Australian Research Council funded project led by Professor Kay Cook at Swinburne University. The successful candidate will be responsible for contributing to research activities and project management within the scope of the project.
This research project focuses on addressing the issue of intimate partner financial abuse, particularly its persistence post-separation. By collaborating with frontline service providers and victim survivors, the project aims to identify how financial abuse operates within financial, legal, and government systems. Through co-design workshops involving policymakers and practitioners, practical solutions and implementation frameworks will be developed to combat post-separation financial violence. The application of Safety by Design principles within these systems will ultimately benefit affected families by reducing avenues for financial abuse perpetration.
