We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Postdoctoral Researcher to join our team in the field of inclusive education, focusing particularly on strategies to help autistic children and young people.
The Team consists of researchers from the South Australian Government, Autism CRC, Positive Partnerships, Flinders University, Tabor College, the University of Adelaide, and the University of South Australia.
The successful candidate will work closely with our research group to contribute to a cutting-edge research project, design innovative learning interventions, and advance our understanding of effective educational strategies for inclusive education, particularly with autistic children and young people. This position offers a unique opportunity to make significant contributions to the field of inclusive education while gaining valuable research experience across multiple, collaborative, and dynamic environments. As part of the role this person will be placed in two industry placements with the South Australian Government for three days per week – one day at Office for Autism and two days at Department for Education – and at the University of Adelaide for the other 2 days a week.
This role requires the appointee to contribute to the research project, developing ethics applications, supporting research design decisions with input on methodology and methods, and to contribute to the dissemination of research outcomes. The appointee will also be expected to engage with industry and support supervision of students as required. The appointee will work regular work hours and will not be expected to routinely work after hours or on weekends.
To be successful you will need:
- A PhD in a relevant discipline or equivalent qualifications or research experience.
- A sound understanding and demonstrated ability to conduct research in inclusive education and autism in particular.
- Emerging track record of high-quality publications and conference presentations relative to opportunity.
- Experience in project administration with a demonstrated ability to plan, document and monitor activities.
