Edith Cowan University (ECU) is one of only two federal government recognized Academic Centres of Cyber Security Excellence in Australia. ECU is home to the Cyber Security Cooperative Research Centre (CSCRC), established with academic, government and industry partners attracting around $140m of funding. The ECU Security Research Institute (ECUSRI) is an internationally recognized leader in multidisciplinary security science research, housed in a purpose-built world class cyber security research and training facility. ECU is proud to be the first Australian University to be part of The International Cybersecurity Centre of Excellence (INCS-CoE) building strong international partnerships for research collaboration and training with world-leading partnerships. ECU is looking for to appoint a number of outstanding post-doctoral researchers to contribute to applied research projects funded though the CSCRC.
Cyber Security Cooperative Research Centre (CSCRC)
The CSCRC has been funded for 7 years by the Commonwealth Government’s Cooperative Research Centres Program and has also attracted significant funding from its participants. The CSCRC is an industry-driven collaboration to create and enhance Australian cyber security capability. The CSCRC has 25 participants which includes 19 industry/government entities and 6 universities and fosters collaboration with industry, academia, and government to deliver collaborative research outcomes articulated by industry and government..
ECU is recruiting 5 Post-Doctoral Researchers to contribute to one or more of the following areas
We invite outstanding applicants wishing to join a dynamic research environment based at the Joondalup campus to apply.
Seeking applicants that can demonstrate the following:
- A PhD in a relevant discipline area, e.g., Cyber Security, Computer Security, Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Human Factors.
- Demonstrated research ability and track record in a relevant area (see project descriptions).
- Demonstrated knowledge and skills in one or more of the relevant areas (see project descriptions).
- Conduct research and development on the assigned project(s) as a member of an interdisciplinary project team.
- Building and evaluating appropriate prototypes/testbeds based on the outcomes of the research.
- Advice within the field of research to post-graduate students in consultation with the senior researcher
- Personal attributes that are compatible with the University’s values of Integrity, Respect, Rational Inquiry Personal Excellence and Courage.
These positions are fixed-term appointments with an expected project period of 24 months and are supported by external funding from the Commonwealth Government’s Cooperative Research Centre’s Program. If the project or funding arrangements end earlier this may impact the term of the employment contract, including termination of employment.
