The Shine Lab at the University of Sydney invites applications for a Post-Doctoral Fellowship position in the field of Computational Neuroscience and Functional Neuroimaging. The successful candidate will join a dynamic and collaborative research (A/Prof Lizier, School of Computer Science; Dr Ben Fulcher, School of Physics) team focused on advancing our understanding of brain function and cognition using cutting-edge computational and neuroimaging techniques.
Your key responsibilities will be to:
conduct original research in the areas of computational neuroscience and functional neuroimaging
prepare research findings for publication in relevant specialist and general neuroscience journals
collaborate with members of the Shine Lab and external collaborators to enhance interdisciplinary research efforts
process and analyse functional neuroimaging data (fMRI, EEG, etc.) to extract meaningful insights into brain function.
About you
a PhD in Neuroscience, Computational Neuroscience, Psychology, or a related field (by July 2024)
strong background in computational modelling and/or functional neuroimaging techniques
proficiency in programming languages commonly used in neuroscience research (e.g., Python, MATLAB)
excellent written and verbal communication skills, as evidenced by peer-reviewed publications in relevant journals
proven ability to work collaboratively in a team setting.
