About the Portfolio of the Vice-President & Pro Vice-Chancellor (International):

The Portfolio of the Vice-President and Pro Vice-Chancellor (International) is leading Flinders University’s international strategy in collaboration with the Senior Executive Team, Colleges and Portfolios to ensure that internationalisation is integrated into the core University activities of teaching, research and engagement. The Portfolio comprises of three teams, referred to as Flinders International:

  • International Recruitment

  • International Engagement

  • International Student Services

Key to this is driving international student enrolment through an enhanced focus on international recruitment and partnerships working in close collaboration with our Colleges and Portfolios, along with providing timely and specialised support to all onshore international students throughout their study.

About the Role

The Portfolio Support Officer is responsible for providing a range of administrative, records management, organisational and project support tasks, for and on behalf of, the Portfolio leadership team.

Working under general supervision, and as part of a close-knit team, you will use your well-developed written communication, interpersonal and organisational skills to provide a wide-ranging support service to the portfolio leadership team. A key focus of the role is to address a range of incoming matters and general enquiries across functional areas in a timely and efficient manner, either directly or by referral to the appropriate officer.

About You

  • A demonstrated commitment to high quality outcomes, including impeccable attention to detail, the ability to research and collate information from a wide range of sources, and an ability to relate tasks to the wider context.

  • Informed problem-solving capabilities and the ability to work with general supervision to determine and prioritise tasks and meet deadlines.

  • The ability to interpret and apply a range of relevant policies and procedures within a large and complex organisation.

  • Relevant tertiary qualification(s), or equivalent combination of experience and/or education and/or training.
