Your new role

We are currently seeking an ambitious and innovative development professional to join our team as a Platform Administrator/Developer. In this role, you will work with the high performing Service Management team to identify and drive the continual improvement of the service management platforms (specifically, ServiceNow) that support IT and Enterprise Service Management practices at Curtin University.

This position will oversee two core components:

Platform Administration

  • Maintain the stability and usability of the platform across production and non-production environments.
  • Perform application maintenance to include performance monitoring and error identification and remediation
  • Manage support for incidents and standard requests
  • Lead upgrade planning and execution
  • Manage instance security: user/group access, administration, access control lists. etc.
  • Confirm the technical design and integration requirements with various systems to support processes that require data exchange
Platform Development
  • Design, develop, configure, and customise (when necessary) platform applications and services, ensuring alignment to the Service Management guiding principles
  • Deliver new functionality across applications
  • Support the entire development lifecycle
We are looking for someone with:
  • A background in IT, Development and/or System Administration, with the ability to confidently develop solutions (JavaScript or equivalent).
  • Strong interpersonal skills with demonstrated ability to work directly with stakeholders and effectively conduct business analysis, testing and customer service.
  • Well-developed oral and written communication skills to produce clear and concise documentation and correspondence.
  • Demonstrated understanding and experience working with Microsoft, SharePoint and AWS platforms. ServiceNow certification and experience is highly desirable.
As this is a Continuing (permanent) role, you will require permanent work rights in Australia to be considered.
