(HE05) $74,289 to $82,603 per annum plus an employer contribution of 17% superannuation applies.

The Placement Officer coordinates and provides a range of administrative and student support functions that underpin the delivery of placement activities and functions for the Faculty’s Coursework programs.

The position provides a range of professional support for the management of data, records and systems, including responding to queries and providing information, advice and support to students and academic staff. The position also delivers timely advice to student enquiries, and negotiates and liaises with providers, government and other stakeholders to support the resolution of placement issues, and to develop a range of projects, as required, to support the ongoing improvement of University systems and processes.

The Placement Officer works under general direction to coordinate the provision of a range of professional, academic and student focused, administrative support, services and advice. This includes the administration of a range of placement related functions, and liaising with Academic and Professional staff to enable the facilitation of placements.

To be successful you will need:

  • Demonstrated experience in coordinating student and program administration, preferably in a higher education environment, including providing and ensuring the delivery of information, advice and reports.
  • Demonstrated experience communicating, both verbally and in writing, in a succinct, professional and responsive manner to deliver client centric results. 
  • Well-developed experience in coordinating and taking responsibility for the efficient coordination and delivery of a range of student related support and administrative functions, including prioritising and organising the delivery of challenging workloads and timelines.
  • Demonstrated experience in utilising the full suite of Microsoft applications, and student and records management systems.
  • Demonstrated ability to promote the organisational values of integrity, respect, collegiality, excellence and discovery, and a commitment to positively comply with the associated behaviour expectations.
