  • Salary range: $64,166 - $72,321 per annum (plus up to 17% superannuation )

About the Role

The Placement Officer will be responsible for undertaking academic service activities associated with student placements in the Academic Unit. This position will also provide administrative support to the Academic Unit’s academic and professional staff responsible for the development and delivery of student placements.

Core Responsibilities

  • Provide high quality and responsive customer service to all internal and external clients
  • Undertake a range of administrative activities to support student placements
  • Liaising and negotiating with external sites regarding placement requirements
  • Accurately maintain student placement information within pro-formas, publications and other communications
  • Ensure affiliation agreements between external sites and the University are in place where applicable

Essential Skills and Experience

  • Highly developed written, verbal and interpersonal skills, including the ability to prepare written materials and experience in liaising with people at all levels both internal and external to the organisation
  • Demonstrated organisational and time management skills to manage multiple priorities under broad direction
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Post-secondary qualifications in administration (or similar), or demonstrated experience working in an administrative position
  • Demonstrated experience in using information systems (e.g. InPlace) and Microsoft Office
