  • Full-time (1.0FTE), fixed term contract 14 February 2022 until 3 February 2023
  • Commencement Salary: $65,766 per annum (plus 17% superannuation)


About the Role

The position is responsible for coordinating student placement activities and providing administrative support relating to students enrolled in programs across the health-related Academic Units of Allied Health and Human Performance and Clinical and Health Sciences. The position is required to work with a broad range of internal and external stakeholders to achieve positive placement outcomes.

UniSA Allied Health and Human Performance offers a wide range of degrees and conducts research in the fields of physiotherapy, occupational therapy, podiatry, medical radiation sciences, medical sonography, speech pathology, clinical exercise physiology, exercise and nutrition, health sciences, public health, exercise and sport science, and human movement.

Core Responsibilities

  • Deliver high quality and responsive customer service to all internal and external stakeholders
  • Coordinate agreements between government and private agencies and the University
  • Coordinate consistent and high-quality student placements at metropolitan, rural, interstate and international agencies
  • Maintain the integrity of data across multiple internal and external student and placement systems
  • Assist with the evaluation of student placement activities, including the effectiveness of the Clinical Placement Unit, government and private agencies and clinical facilitators/supervisors

Essential Skills and Experience
  • Post-secondary qualifications in administration (or similar) and demonstrated experience working in an administrative position, or equivalent demonstrated experience in an administrative position
  • Highly developed written, verbal and interpersonal skills appropriate to successfully communicate with a diverse range of stakeholders
  • Well-developed organisational and time management skills with ability to manage multiple priorities within set timelines and proactively find solutions
  • Ability to develop and apply a thorough understanding of the Academic Unit’s programs and their placement requirements
  • Demonstrated experience in developing and maintaining paper-based and electronic administrative systems
