Focused on foot and ankle surgical care, the service provides a unique setting where clinical excellence meets education, supporting both patient outcomes and the development of future surgical professionals.
You will join a collaborative, multidisciplinary perioperative team committed to safety, innovation and best practice across the surgical journey.
About the opportunity
We are seeking experienced Perioperative Nurses to join UWADH on a casual basis, offering flexible shifts.
This opportunity is ideal for nurses who thrive in a high-performing surgical environment and are looking for flexibility in their working arrangements.
You will contribute to the delivery of safe, high-quality care across a range of perioperative settings, including:
- Pre-admission, admission and discharge
- Scrub/Scout roles
- Recovery / Post Anaesthetic Care Unit (PACU)
- Working closely with surgeons, anaesthetic teams and allied health professionals, you will play a key role in supporting positive patient outcomes and seamless surgical care.
About you
To be successful in this role, you will demonstrate:
Essential:
- Current registration as a Registered Nurse
- Current CPR / Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- National Police Clearance
- Working With Children Check (WWCC)
- Demonstrated perioperative nursing experience
- Proven ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary clinical team
- Strong communication, organisational and time management skills
- Commitment to patient safety, clinical governance and quality care
- Flexibility to work a range of shifts in a casual capacity
Desirable:
- Postgraduate qualification in perioperative nursing
- Experience across multiple perioperative specialties
- Advanced Life Support (ALS1) certification
