The Opportunity

We are seeking a Payroll Compliance Specialist to join Monash HR, supporting the delivery of the Quality Assurance (QA) program, with a focus on achieving compliance with pay and benefits for academic and professional staff. 

This position reports to the Director, People Operations and contributes to payroll specific objectives of the QA program including enhancing the University’s capabilities and integrating best practice quality systems by influencing approaches and encouraging the adoption of recognised models.

As the successful candidate you will be responsible for:

  • Directly supporting the QA program by coordinating the resolution of new enquiries regarding pay inaccuracies
  • Develop a quality control framework to manage the end to end process of pay reviews within the QA Program
  • Provide expert, specialist advice and/or training to relevant stakeholders within the area of specialisation
  • Manage and oversee risk, compliance and quality assurance processes, including regular monitoring and reporting per University and legislative requirements

About you

  • Extensive HR/payroll experience, ensuring compliance and legislative requirements 
  • Strong planning and organisational skills
  • Understanding of employment laws and regulations in large organisations
  • Significant consulting experience, providing expert advice and engaging with senior stakeholders
