About the Role:

The Pay and Benefits Advisor is part of our People and Culture team and reports to the Senior Manager, Payroll Compliance and Operations. 

This is a full-time position at 36.75 hours per week, at the HEP 7 Classification Level, Salary range $90,891 - $98,385, plus 17% Superannuation. This is a fixed-term parental leave backfill between 26/4/2024 to 01/05/2025.

This role requires your knowledge and expertise in:

  • Coaching to the broader payroll team to ensure salary packaging, superannuation and payroll services are delivered in a timely, accurate and compliant manner.
  • Fortnightly pay run processing, superannuation and salary packaging reconciliations and adjustments for all University employees. 
  • Being an escalation point to more complex superannuation and salary packaging queries 
  • Designing programs, systems and tools that drive positive service delivery outcomes in collaboration with relevant stakeholders.
  • Implementing Payroll and benefit strategies
  • Providing high quality reports and documents to support key stakeholders with decision making.
  • Interpreting and applying Enterprise Agreements, Awards, Employee and Industrial instruments 

About You:

Have strong experience in payroll and benefits, excellent communication and service delivery skills and the ability to build rapport with stakeholders at all levels. You will be able to manage multiple priorities and work under limited direction. Hold a degree or diploma in Human Resources, Commerce/Business or an equivalent combination of formal training is highly desirable.
