About This Opportunity 

At our world top 50 university, we're seeking a dynamic individual to fill the pivotal role of Head, PA Southside Clinical Unit and Head of Learning Community - South within our esteemed Medical School. Reporting directly to the Director of the Greater Brisbane Clinical School, this leadership position entails overseeing the academic direction of our flagship MD program at the Clinical Unit. Responsibilities include coordinating all academics involved in program delivery, ensuring fruitful engagement with the Executive of the Hospital and Health Service, and meticulously reviewing teaching and learning experiences to enhance medical student outcomes while fostering staff engagement and satisfaction.

The Head of the Learning Community role, also integral to our university's mission, offers a highly visible opportunity to shape the academic landscape by fostering a sense of belonging among students and staff. This role focuses on providing longitudinal support for students as they progress through the four-year medical program, establishing vital relationships and connections within the Learning Community across a spectrum of healthcare facilities, including hospitals, community-based services, and general practices. This is a part-time (50%), fixed-term position for up to 5 years.
