About Business Services
Business Services provides a full range of class leading information technology, facilities management, finance, HR and health and safety services to all operating entities of the University.   

About the Role 
Working within the Themis development team, you will provide software development and level 3 application support for the Finance, HR/ Payroll Systems portfolios. You will provide integration and development support and be responsible for the design and implementation of complex Themis applications as well as integration between systems across a variety of technologies.  

Responsibilities include: 

  • Software development and 3rd level technical support including triage, analysis, service restoration, request fulfilment, defect fixing, minor enhancements and maintenance
  • Designing and developing knowledge artefacts required for the support and maintenance of new, enhanced and changed application software 
  • Working closely with project teams to provide inputs into planning, architecture, design and development of complex solutions and integration with systems across a variety of technologies 
  • Overseeing compliance and quality assurance of the Themis applications

About You 
Along with your excellent communication, customer focus and demonstrated ability to work with clients and stakeholders you will be a keen problem solver with the ability to analyse incidents and work effectively as part of a team to resolve issues.  

You will also have: 

  • Tertiary qualifications in a relevant discipline and or equivalent mix of education and relevant experience
  • Strong functional and technical knowledge of the Oracle e-Business Suite with experience in support, maintenance and enhancement - particularly for financials, HR and Payroll modules.
  • Extensive experience in development tools/ languages for Oracle e-Business Suite - including but not limited to SQL, PL/SQL, Java, OAF, Oracle Forms/Reports, Oracle Workflow
  • Experience in software development strategies, SDLC, environment management and release management practices
