The Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Strategy and Talent Adviser is responsible for providing high level advice and direction across the University to attract, retain and build capability of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples, guided by the ECU Strategic Plan and supporting plans.

COORDINATOR, FUTURE STUDENT ENGAGEMENTS 
BUSINESS, GROWTH AND DEVELOPMENT

An exciting opportunity is available for an Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander person to join the Future Students Engagements team to help drive the recruitment of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander students to ECU.

As the Future Students Coordinator, you will be responsible for actively participating in activities and services related to student recruitment including visiting and presenting to high schools, colleges, registered training organisations and other groups, and promoting ECU as a preferred higher education provider to our potential students. This role is instrumental in promoting ECU’s courses, providing advice on admission requirements and information about entry pathways. Whilst not a complete overview of all the exciting tasks you will be responsible for, you will be required to develop presentations and present information to a diverse range of prospective students, input/maintain data on prospective students, develop, organise and attend Future Student Engagement Activities and events as well as develop and account manage allocated ECU Schools and act as a relationship manager between Future Student Engagements Team and the ECU Schools.

Key Criteria:
•    Previous experience in an event coordination or sales and marketing role, preferable within the higher educator sector
•    Strong focus on all aspects of customer service, including achieving quality outcomes, identifying, and meeting customer needs, continually evaluating, and improving customer service
•    Ability to organise and present information in a concise, understandable, and interesting format for a variety of audiences
•    Ability to build strong relationships with diverse stakeholders and develop those relationships into student growth opportunities
•    High developed ability to plan, time manage and organise small to large Future Student Engagement activities with limited resources
•    Ability to be flexible and proactive in a dynamic team environment

Specific requirements:
•    Valid Drivers’ license
•    Ability and willingness to work outside of standard business hours (including some weekends) and undertake travel as required
•    Ability to travel to the ECU Southwest campus for occasional Future Student Engagement events
•    Ability to undertake tasks which require some manual handling of materials and light equipment (e.g. packing/unpacking materials and banners)
•    Valid Working with Children Check

Undergraduate qualifications or progress towards undergraduate qualifications and a strong understanding of the West Australian education sector will be highly regarded.
