We have a new and exciting opportunity for an Operations Manager to join our Commercialisation team and support our multi-million-dollar federal funded Trailblazer Program!

In this role, you will have the chance to support the achievement of outcomes of the Trailblazer Program, which comprises a select group of universities with dedicated investment to accelerate Australia’s innovation agenda at-speed and at-scale.

Curtin was the first of Australia’s six Trailblazer universities, receiving $50 million in federal funding from the new competitive program to develop a research commercialisation hub for resources technology and critical minerals.

With your support, the Curtin Trailblazer team will deliver institutional change towards greater industry engagement and commercialisation outcomes, through the provision of values-led, high quality, efficient services, and solutions for Trailblazer stakeholders.

Working closely with the Director and Business Development Manager this position will support Australia in becoming an international leader in Resources Technology and Critical Minerals Processing. You will be responsible for the management of operational and administrative functions, including financial management and reporting activities, and support the management team with resource planning and stakeholder coordination. This role will see you act as the key liaison officer between the business unit and internal service providers and relevant internal and external stakeholders operations. You may also be required to manage other professional/general staff within the team.

To be successful in this role, you will be adaptable with high-level interpersonal, oral and written communication skills and possess the ability to work collaboratively and effectively within a team as well as the ability to manage and direct the work of other staff. A strong understanding of financial/ budget management as well as experience with business operation systems is also desirable.

You will require current work rights in Australia that match the tenure of this role. Only in limited situations will visa sponsorship situations be considered.
