About Victoria’s Autism Specific Early Learning and Care Centre (ASELCC)

The Victorian ASELCC was established in 2010 through an Australian Government-funded program and is part of the La Trobe University Community Children’s Centre. Our mission is to empower autistic children and their families through collaborative partnerships and research driven practice. Our service utilises the Early Start Denver Model (ESDM) to provide individualised early supports to young children with autism and their families. We plan to expand our service reach through community early learning centre partnerships across metropolitan Melbourne and regional Victoria in the coming years.

Our service is the international Group-ESDM Flagship Training site and publishers of the Group-ESDM manual. We work in partnership with the MIND Institute (UC Davis, USA) and La Trobe University Olga Tennison Research Centre (OTARC) to further research and improve our early supports to children, families, and early learning centres.
