Overview

The School of Nursing and Midwifery provides a comprehensive range of academic programs to prepare health professionals for positions in nursing and midwifery.  The School has a commitment to developing strong partnerships locally, nationally, and internationally through its collaboration with health professions, industry and the broader community.

We are seeking to recruit a self-motivated and well organised person who is practical and flexible to join our team as a Nursing Technician.  As a Nursing Technician, you will be responsible for providing support to meet all technical requirements for practical sessions and nursing related simulation.

You will be required to apply your clinical/and or technical experience and expertise in the use and maintenance of clinical and simulation equipment to create a realistic simulated learning environment for the simulated wards. Experience in operating and maintaining high and low fidelity mannequins is desirable but not essential.

You will have a minimum qualification as an Enrolled Nurse, with the ability to work independently and in a team environment and have good time management and communication skills, as well as a commitment to WHS regulations. Recent clinical experience would be preferred but is not mandatory.

Our simulation learning environment and quality teaching staff provide practical clinical experience and simulated learning opportunities that are essential to the development of safe and proficient graduates.

Benefits & Remuneration

This ongoing position attracts remuneration of $75,821 - $84,254 pa plus 17% University superannuation contribution.
