Base Salary $91,644 + 17% superannuation
About the opportunity
The Northern Clinical School within the Faculty of Medicine and Health has an exciting opportunity for the role of National Project Officer – Juvenile Arthritis Registry and Biobank to assist in establishing AJAR – the Australian Juvenile Arthritis Registry. In addition, as part of the Australian Arthritis and Autoimmune Biobank Collective (A3BC) the role will involve coordination of a clinical trial for down-titration of biologic therapies in children and young adults with arthritis. You will be working with the A3BC team, a national network committed to improving the health of men, women and children living with arthritis. This role will liaise with paediatric rheumatologists, children and young adults, families, and consumer organisations.
Your key responsibilities will be to:
Liaise with key client groups including paediatric and consumer organisations to facilitate the participation in the National Registry
coordinate the setup of the clinical trial for children and young adults living with arthritis
assist with writing and submitting ethics applications
assist with patient data and specimen collection and follow-up
assist with monitoring and managing the budget of the project
some travel may be required to other sites as the project advances. A driving license is advantageous but not essential
About you
has relevant tertiary qualifications in a health-related field or similar
has prior project experience within a healthcare field
has prior experience with writing ethics applications and data management
has proven leadership experience
has excellent verbal and written communication skills with excellent people skills.
