  • Base Salary HEO4, $73,751 p.a. - $77,926 p.a., + 17% superannuation

About the opportunity

Are you an excellent communicator with great organisational skills and a passion for customer service?  The Centre for Veterinary Education (within the Sydney School of Veterinary Science) could have the role you’re looking for.  Responding to queries, exploring matters and finding solutions for our members (vets and associated professionals), our Membership and Administration Officers have strong administrative skills and project a welcoming and helpful manner in their verbal and written interactions.  As a member-based organisation providing continuing education to thousands of veterinarians and allied professions, the Centre for Veterinary Education prides itself on providing a positive customer experience. 

Your key responsibilities will be to:

  • provide operational support and enquiry resolution to CVE stakeholders, particularly tutors, members, and customers
  • promote the CVE portfolio in your interactions and maintain current and accurate knowledge of CVE products and services
  • provide event support for the CVE
  • coordinate payment and invoice management for CVE tutors and suppliers
  • maintain the membership database.

Reporting to the Business Services Manager, the Membership and Administration Officer   is part of a small team providing administrative support to the CVE.  As the first point of contact for the CVE, this role requires strong administrative, communication, and organisational skills to coordinate and undertake various operational activities.

The Sydney School of Veterinary Science at the University of Sydney is ranked second in the Southern hemisphere and 22nd in the world among veterinary faculties (QS rankings 2022).  Regarding research, the faculty is the highest ranked veterinary school in Australia (ERA 5/5).  The School of Veterinary Science educates students and conducts research in veterinary and related sciences.

About you

  • a certificate III in business administration or equivalent with relevant experience in customer support and office administration

  • excellent verbal and written communication skills

  • demonstrated capacity in the provision of excellent customer service

  • strong problem solving and relationship-building skills

  • proven interpersonal skills with the capacity to work as an integrated team member sound Office 365 skills and working knowledge of learning and engagement management systems

  • previous experience in the veterinary profession will be viewed favourably.
